Fadel Abdul Ghany, executive director of the Syrian Network for Human Rights, echoes the sentiment.
“Israel’s objective is to prevent the emergence of a Syrian security order that could constrain Israeli military freedom of action, restore credible Syrian conventional capabilities, or permit hostile regional actors to operate near the Golan,” he told Arab News.
Turkiye is viewed as a major part of that concern, Abdul Ghany added, because Turkish training, infrastructure support or deployment could accelerate the rebuilding of a coherent Syrian military.
